Nach der erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Herzogenauracher Sportartikelhersteller Puma und dem Amsterdamer Streetwear Brand Daily Paper in der ersten Hälfte diesen Jahres, erscheint nun die nächste Capsule Collection der beiden.
Auch diesmal gibt es wieder einen starken sportlichen Bezug. Bei der ersten Kollabo stand die Sportart Cricket – die bei uns ein absolutes Nischendasein genießt – als Leitthema im Vordergrund, wohingegen sich diesmal mit Fußball die wohl populärste Sportart weltweit im Fokus befindet.

Aber es geht hier natürlich nicht nur um Fußball im allgemeinen. Puma unterstützt schon seit geraumer Zeit den afrikanischen Fußball, um genau zu sein schon seit 20 Jahren. Und unter dem Zeichen dieses Jubiläums steht auch diese Kollektion.

Dementsprechend wurden bei dieser Kollektion einiges an klassischem Fußball Apparel wie z.B. Trikots, Trainigshosen, Shorts und auch ein Trainerparka überarbeitet. Zum einen findet man hier viele grafische Elemente, aber auch Teile mit sehr gelungenem Colourblocking. Hier wurde sich stets auf die Farben der Nationalteams von Ghana, Kamerun und der Elfenbeinküste bezogen und in eigener künstlerischer Manier umgesetzt. Diese Teams gehören übrigens auch zu denen, die von Puma gesponsored werden.

Ein weiteres wiederkehrendes Element ist eine in Amharic geschrieben 20 (symbolisch für das Jubiläum). Bei Amharic handelt es sich um eine in Äthiopien gängige Sprache.
Eine weitere Besonderheit der Zusammenarbeit von Puma und Daily Paper an diesem Projekt ist die Tatsache, dass beide Brands zusammen die Accra Senior Girls School in Ghana finanziell beim Bau einer Fußballanlage unterstützt und die schuleigene Fußballmannschaft komplett mit Fußballbekleidung und -equipment ausgestattet haben.
Eine gute Sache, wie wir finden und auch erneut eine top umgesetzte Kollabo.
